Membership
The cost to join Ponsonby Toastmasters is $180 per six months, which covers room hire, Toastmasters International fees, social functions and club supplies.
Does this sound like a lot? Just think about how many financial opportunities will be created from learning how to communicate effectively! Whether you are speaking in a job interview or giving a presentation in front of your colleagues, how you speak can make all the difference!
- Visit
It is 100% free to visit as a guest and there will be no pressure to speak during the first meeting. Simply come along and enjoy the speeches! We recommend visiting three times before deciding to join (or not join).

If you like what you see and want to get involved, simply speak to one of the Club Officers during the meeting. They will be able to give you an application form and provide payment information.
- Speak!
Now it is time to speak! New members are usually assigned minor meeting roles to help you gradually build up your confidence. Once you are ready, the first speech will be your Ice Breaker. This is an opportunity to introduce yourself and become more comfortable speaking in front of an audience.
