Club Officers

Toastmasters is run entirely by volunteers, making us one of the best value education providers available. The club is led by a group of dedicated Club Officers. Each officer serves a one year term, starting 1 July and finishing 30 June.

President

  • Provides leadership and sets the club’s culture
  • Chairs committee meetings
  • Closes the meeting and provides notices
  • Represents the club in the wider Toastmasters community

VP Education

  • Manages Easy Speak
  • Schedules speeches and other meeting roles
  • Signs off educational achievements
  • Coordinates club contests

VP Membership

  • Signs up new members with Toastmasters International
  • Inducts new members into the club
  • Greets guests and answers their questions

VP Public Relations

  • Generates publicity to attract guests
  • Replies to email enquiries
  • Manages social media accounts

Secretary

  • Records meeting minutes
  • Stores club records

Treasurer

  • Manages club bank account
  • Collects membership fees from members
  • Makes payments to World Headquarters
  • Prepares financial reports

Sergeant at Arms

  • Arranges room and equipment
  • Maintains club equipment
  • Buys chocolate biscuits for breaks
  • Greets attendees

Immediate Past President

  •  Supports incoming club leaders
  • Provides guidance

Visit

Every first and third Thursdays of the month at 7pm in the Ponsonby Community Centre.
